Job Purpose
As a Data Privacy Analyst – Technology, you will manage and minimise the privacy risk to the organisation through compliance and advising on privacy requirements for projects across the organisation in co-ordination with the business and IT stakeholders. Advise on privacy policies, procedures, processes, and programme to ensure compliance with the GDPR requirements.
In this role, you will:
- Identify, document and track privacy risks and provide recommendations in relation to Privacy by Design by working with the business and technical teams and actively maintain the DPO risk register.
- Coordinate with all business and technical stakeholders to document and maintain the Emirates Group personal data inventory in line with the GDPR requirements as stipulated in article 30.
- Fulfil Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) and work with technical stakeholders to perform continuous improvements in the DSAR process.
- Liaise with the DPO and other stakeholders on incident impact analysis, logging and tracking privacy related incidents.
- Assess impact of changing global privacy regulations on internal policies, processes and technology and ensure this is embedded into the DPO processes and tools.
- Keep up to date with developments and manage the continuous review and enhancement of privacy management tools within the DPO.
- Support the Manager Data Privacy (Technology) with enhancements and maintenance of overall DPO technical policies and guidelines.
- Ensure privacy principles are incorporated in a timely manner through strategic projects in conjunction with the Manager Data Privacy (Technology).
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Information Technology/Other : 5+ years working as an IT professional within or with a Data Privacy Office and/or wider compliance or legal function with a focus on the privacy of a large organisation.
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
- Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a OneTrust administrator; familiarity with GDPR-related assessments is essential.
- Certifications: OneTrust Certified Professional / OneTrust Certified Expert is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using OneTrust for various compliance functions; experience with other industry standard privacy enhancing/governance tools or data management tools is advantageous.
You’ll have an edge, if you have experience in:
- Leading the implementation and configuration of data privacy tools like OneTrust, to automate data discovery, classification, PIA, RoPA, DSAR, etc.
- Handling user onboarding, roles, permissions, and troubleshoot issues within the OneTrust platform.
- Conducting regular audits and assessments through OneTrust to identify and address any compliance gaps.
- Preparing and present reports on data privacy activities and performance metrics to the Senior Management.
