strong strong Do you have a passion for creating unforgettable experiences for others If so we invite you to embark on a career journey like no other at InterContinental Hotels Group IHG strong style font-size 11px As a professional in your role your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to strong Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests via phone in-room tablets or through other communication channels Advise guests on available menu items specials and dietary restrictions ensuring clear and polite communication Input orders accurately into the system and confirm details with guests to ensure satisfaction and avoid mistakes Coordinate with Kitchen and Delivery Staff Communicate guest orders to the kitchen and ensure timely and efficient delivery to guest rooms Address any questions or concerns regarding food orders promptly and courteously to ensure a positive guest experience Maintain Cleanliness Ensure order-taking stations and work areas are kept organized clean and free of clutter Handle special requests e g room setups extra condiments etc to ensure all guest needs are met Assist with payment transactions providing accurate billing information when necessary Notify supervisors of any shortages or required replenishments of in-room dining supplies and materials Adhere to Health and Safety Standards Ensure compliance with food safety sanitation and hotel operational standards strong Ideally you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience strong Previous experience in hospitality food and beverage or customer service preferred Excellent verbal communication skills ability to interact with guests in a courteous and professional manner Ability to take and input orders accurately ensuring all special requests and preferences are met Capable of managing multiple orders and guest requests efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal skills to resolve guest complaints or issues with tact and professionalism Familiarity with order-taking systems or ability to learn quickly Availability to work various shifts including evenings weekends and holidays Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and handle light lifting of menu items or supplies Demonstrates a friendly helpful and service-oriented attitude at all times
