strong Job Summary strong We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Live in Patient Caregiver to provide exceptional care to elderly patients The caregiver will assist with personal hygiene medical support mobility and emotional well-being The role requires professional communication with medical teams and families along with ensuring the safety and comfort of the patient in a respectful and dignified manner strong Key Responsibilities strong type 1 strong Patient Care strong Provide comprehensive care including assistance with personal hygiene bathing dressing and grooming Ensure patient comfort and dignity while performing daily tasks strong Medical Support strong Administer medications including injections according to the doctor x27 s prescriptions and established schedules Assist in maintaining proper medication records strong Emergency Response strong Respond promptly to medical emergencies administer first aid or CPR if necessary Act decisively and maintain composure in critical situations strong Health Monitoring strong Regularly monitor and record vital signs blood pressure pulse temperature and report any abnormalities to the healthcare team or family Observe and track any changes in patient s physical or mental condition strong Mobility Assistance strong Provide mobility support including walking assistance wheelchair support and transferring between bed chair or other locations Ensure patient safety during movement and repositioning strong Emotional Support strong Offer companionship to patients and engage them in light activities that support their mental and emotional well-being Encourage positive interactions to enhance overall quality of life strong Documentation strong Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient care medications medical conditions and any notable changes Ensure clear communication with medical teams and family members strong Professionalism strong Maintain a respectful compassionate and patient demeanor at all times Uphold the privacy and dignity of the elderly patient and provide care with sensitivity to their needs strong Experience and Certification strong Previous caregiving experience preferred Certification in Basic Life Support BLS and ability to administer injections required strong Flexibility strong Availability for shift work including weekends nights and emergency call-ins as needed Previous caregiving experience (1-2 years preferred).Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).Ability to administer injections.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Compassionate and patient demeanor with a focus on client care.Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy.
